Ganges - Mississippi dialogue - confluence of two civilizations
The Ganges and Mississippi rivers are thousands of years old. While making its journey from a young glacier-fed river to a mature slow-flowing life-giving river, they have not only shaped the landform but also civilizations, leading to the progress of mankind. The Ganges civilization the oldest and the most developed and accomplished civilization; and the modern-day American civilization originated from the banks of the Mississippi are converging at the American Academy for Yoga in Medicine.
While the ancient Vedic civilization gave the world scientific, literary, medical, spiritual, and cultural foundation, the young American civilization is reaching the pinnacle of accomplishment in technology and science. Two very different approaches but the same ethos; the progress of humanity at large. Through a series of talks, seminars, and live chat shows by eminent personalities, AAYM endeavors to bring together the think tank of the world. The aim is to inspire the next generation to take on the challenges and the responsibility to bring our civilization to the next level.
This is a series of dialogue with people as part of an exploration into the nature of this Universe and its knowledge systems from the perspective of Modern Science and Indian Philosophy.
